About Me
My name is Adrienne Noel Kummerl and I write under the name Adrienne Noel. I describe myself as whimsical which encompasses not only my personality and fashion, but my writing and illustrations as well. I love to write and illustrate books for children up to age 11 that has a great moral to the story. My books are written in rhyme so they have a “song” quality to them. My illustrations are of characters that children can relate to using vibrant colors that fill the entire page.
“The Grumpy Bull” is the first book I have written. Drawing has always been my passion, but after losing my father in 2014 this passion went deeper, I wanted to push my talents to the limit. The Grumpy Bull began with an illustration which I titled “The World Needs More Love, No Matter Color or Breed.” My mother approached me with the idea of writing a book based on that picture. A few months later, it hit the press! This is a wonderful story about bullying and judgment that received a 5 STAR REVIEW from Reader’s Favorite.
I followed it up with “A Wish of One Good Deed”, a spin on the “pay it forward” story. I am currently illustrating a sequel to “The Grumpy Bull” which I have not yet officially titled.
I am from a small town in Michigan, and live just a few miles away from where I grew up. I began volunteering for Hospice in 2009 and my life changed forever. Sitting with the elderly during their final journey taught me so much and opened up a window to my spiritual soul. I was then asked to care for an infant whom I still care for today, 7 years later. This child is truly an angel and blew the doors off of my spirituality side. My soul soared and my purpose was made clear. I was put on a path to help people and carry positive messages of love, faith, strength, peace and joy.
This is my life’s journey and I will continue on this path for as long as God allows.
