Submitting Your Work to Push

Before submitting to Push

The Market List recommends you verify the market is active and accepting submissions before sending your manuscript via regular mail. You may verify a market status by either visiting their website, calling their listed phone number, or comfirming via regular mail that the market is still active before sending them your work.

If you have recently submitted to Push or have experience with this market, please submit a comment below. Recent submission response times are always welcome and helpful to other writers.

From the Push guidelines:

PUSH is all about finding new literary voices with compelling stories to tell.

Submissions must contain at least three and no more than five chapters from an original novel (excerpt minimum 15 pages, maximum 50 pages), as well as an outline/summary of the rest of the book, not to exceed two pages in length. All entries should be double-spaced and in 12-point font. The award is given in conjunction with the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and all rules and regulations can be found on www.artandwriting.org.
