Northwind Magazine's contest is open to all fiction and narrative non-fiction writers, regardless of publication experience (including publication in Northwind).
Entries must be previously unpublished, either in print or online, between 1,500 and 8,000 words, and must not have been previously chosen as a winner, finalist, or honorable mention in another contest.
First Prize is $1,000 and publication; Second Prize is $250 and publication; Third Prize is $100. All finalists receive notation in the Winter 2013 issue and are considered for publication in a future issue of Northwind.
