  • Loyd Auerbach Got a chance last Friday night to meet a couple of amazing paranormal mystery authors I read regularly -- Victoria Laurie and Juliet Blackwell. Laurie writes both psychic-detective and ghost-hunter mysteries and is herself a professional psychic, which gives her books a real sense of reality to the main characters.  Blackwell writes reluctant-medium (someone who sees/communicates with spirits) and witchcraft based murder mysteries and, while neither psychic nor witch herself, has clearly done her homework. They appeared at Copperfield's Books in Santa Rosa to do a signing for their new books. Juliet Blackwell talked about her background and that of the witchcraft series, while Victoria Laurie displayed her psychic talents by doing readings for the audience. I know from past experience how good she is as a psychic (and that's my professional opinion as a parapsychologist).  Both show how much personal experience and good topical research can make a story come to life.  If anyone here needs any help in the paranormal arena, I am here to help.  And I'd love to hear from paranormal authors of fiction in general!
