Each book of the TBRA series is written to be read aloud, and to meet the time constraints of competition.

All submissions must be at least 850 words, and no more than 2,000.

All submissions should be written by authors born in one of the following states; Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia. Submissions should explore experiences that visit the culture, heritage, struggle, triumph, or mystique of life in the South.
