We accept submissions year-round in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and art. All work must be accompanied by an SASE. Please include a cover letter with your submission.
Please send 3-6 poems or one piece of fiction or nonfiction. Address all work to the appropriate editor (fiction, poetry, nonfiction)
We do not publish theme issues. We are interested in any strong writing of a literary variety, but are especially partial to fiction in the modern realist tradition and poetry that engages the reader through a distinctive voice—be it lyric, narrative, etc. When submitting fiction, please do not include a summary of your story in the cover letter. Allow the work to stand on its own. We accept creative nonfiction in traditional and experimental styles. We are interested in creative nonfiction essays on any topic that will engage a general reader. At this time we are not accepting book reviews, literary criticism, scholarly articles, or straight reportage.
