JEMS accepts original educational articles, research articles, case reports, best practice reports, EMS organization reports, commentaries, equipment/technology reviews, news and photos. Most articles are typically around 1,000-1,800 words; research articles may be longer; reports from EMS organizations, commentary and news submissions may be shorter. We also accept photos for use with JEMS publications. Authors submitting to JEMS should conform to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, prepared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Your manuscript, as well as figures/tables/images, should be sent in a single email to Jeff Frankel. (Attachment size is limited to 5MB–please use a file transfer service, such as Dropbox, Box.com, Google Drive, or WeTransfer for files larger than 5MB.)
