Adams Literary exclusively represents children's book authors and artists, seeking works that span every age and genre—from picture books to middle-grade and young adult fiction, including historical novels, fantasy, and books addressing contemporary issues.

They accept submissions only through their online form, requiring a query letter, a short synopsis, and the complete manuscript in DOC or PDF format. For picture book author-artists, a website or PDF of illustrations is necessary.

Files must not exceed 10MB. They do not accept submissions via postal mail and recycle any unsolicited submissions received by post. Response time is typically within six weeks if interested in discussing possible representation.

They do not handle textbooks, novelty, craft, how-to, or coloring books, and do not consider adult works.

 Simultaneous submissions are not accepted, and multiple submissions are discouraged.
