Trident Media Group is actively seeking both new and established authors across a range of fiction and nonfiction categories. Writers should submit through the agency’s online query form and query only one Trident agent at a time. The initial query should contain a short author biography, brief plot synopsis, and contact information. Writers should not include a manuscript, proposal, or writing samples unless an agent specifically requests them.
Trident does not permit simultaneous submissions to multiple agents within the agency. After 30 days, writers may query another Trident agent if they have not received a response; submissions to multiple Trident agents within the same 30-day period are automatically blocked. The agency’s standard commission is 15% for North American sales and film/TV rights and generally 20% for foreign sales, with some smaller foreign markets carrying a 25% commission.
