Her broad reading background spans literary and commercial fiction, nonfiction, mystery, suspense, and other genres, giving her extensive experience evaluating books across the publishing spectrum.
In addition to her publishing career, Skurnick has a strong interest in music and has performed with choirs and rock groups in New York City. She is also a published author, having co-written seven novels with Cynthia Katz under the shared pen name “Cynthia Victor.”
Raised in New Rochelle, New York, Skurnick studied political science at the University of Wisconsin, with a focus on constitutional law.
