Operating primarily during the 2000s, the press published picture books, chapter books, middle-grade novels and young-adult fiction, with an emphasis on giving previously unpublished authors and illustrators an opportunity to enter the market. Its publishing activity ran from approximately 2004 through 2010 and included related imprints such as Tire Swing Books and an association with the children’s speculative-fiction press CBAY Books.
Blooming Tree Press unexpectedly ceased operations around 2010–2011 as economic pressures affected the small publishing house.

We will accept query submissions in both electronic and traditional form from all Agents.
We will accept submissions from all attendees of any conference any staff member has spoken at for a period of 3 months following the conference. In order for your manuscript to be considered, all envelopes must be marked with the conference name. If at the conference you are asked to submit an electronic copy instead, please follow all instructions on the handout that will have been provided.
If you have not had the chance to meet one of us at a conference and you are unagented, you may be eligible to submit your manuscript to the Bloom Award. Please read the award's guidelines to see if your manuscript will qualify.
