The De Novo 1st or 2nd Book of Poetry Prize, sponsored by C&R Press, is an annual contest for first or second poetry collections. The submission period is March 1–1 each year, with the winner receiving $500, 20 copies of their book, national distribution, advance reading copies sent to reviewers, and a marketing campaign. The prize is currently open for submissions, with the next deadline on March 31, 2027.
