CAA generally recommends querying only one agent at the agency for a particular project.

From the Guidelines

CAA agents represent a wide range of genres, including literary and commercial fiction, young adult, speculative fiction, memoir, nonfiction, and children’s literature. The agency does not represent screenplays through its literary division. Both debut and established authors are welcome to submit, including writers outside the United States.

CAA aims to respond to submissions within approximately six weeks, although response times may vary. The agency does not charge reading fees. Legitimate communications from CAA agents and employees will come only from email addresses ending in @caa.com.
