The Mississippi Review Prize is an annual contest awarding $1,000 prizes in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

The 2027 contest is open for submissions from August 1, 2026, to January 1, 2027.
Entries can be submitted via Submittable or by mail.
The contest is open to all writers in English except current or former students or employees of The University of Southern Mississippi.
